Once you get inside the car our guide will accompany you and share many interesting things as we drive into the famous Karnak Temples – the largest building ever constructed. It is also believed to be the 2nd most visited historical sites in Egypt after Cairo. Devoted to the God Amon, his other half Mut and their son Khonsu, it consists of 4 main parts, of which only the largest is presently open to public. The 3 other parts, the Precinct of Montu, the Precinct of Mut, and the dismantled Temple of Amenhotep IV aren’t accessible to the public. There are also a few smaller temples & sanctuaries to be explored. The most popular feature of Karnak is the Hypostyle Hall – a hall region of 50,000 sqft with 134 gigantic pillars arranged in sixteen lines.

Then we will move to the world-famous Luxor Temple – which was constructed by Amunhotep III in 18th Dynasty. For your knowledge, the temple was finished by Ramesses II in the period of the 19th Dynasty. Not like other shrines in Thebes, Luxor temple isn’t devoted to a cult of god. Rather, it’s devoted to the transformation of kingship.
